Product Description

        Ferric Chloride liquid product can be dosed directly or dosed after dilution. Dilution is necessary before dosing for the solid product. The normal dilution ratio for the solid product is 2%-20%, and 5%-50% for the liquid product ( based on weight percentage). The specific dosage is based on the flocculation tests and trials by the users. The usual dosage of the liquid product is 3-40 g/ton, and of the solid product, 1-15 g/ton. The product can not be stored with other chemicals.

Ferric chloride, or iron(III) chloride, is a very important chemical used in several branches of industry. Ferric chloride, FeCl3, occurs in nature in the lava of Vesuvius, as the mineral molysite. In the laboratory FeCl3 is prepared in the anhydrous condition by passing a rapid current of dry chlorine through a retort over heated iron wire, advantageously cut into pieces some 6 mm. in length. The ferric chloride volatilises and condenses as beautiful crystals on the upper, cooler portions of the retort.
